Bilingual Payroll Administrator - Contract - 19134 Our nationally recognized client in the downtown Ottawa area is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their organization on a contract basis. This organization values a strong, positive company culture and offers competitive compensation paired with a hybrid work model.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform time and attendance processing, interface with payroll system
Ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly timesheet processing while maximizing efficiencies, maintaining operational standards and adhering to department policies and procedures
Process CRA Source Deductions, Union Deductions
Process EHT/WSIB/WCB remittances, etc.
Input changes to employee payroll records maintained in the payroll system
Process new hire records and termination records
Administer Records of Employment
Administer Benefits plan enrollment
Answer staff inquiries related to HR and Payroll in a professional, timely manner
Keep up to date with payroll best practices and legislative changes
Conduct other Payroll, HR and Administrative duties as needed
About You
Experience with Ceridian software
2+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong communication skills in both official languages (English, French)
Experience with Union payroll is a strong asset
PCP designation, active or in pursuit, would be a strong asset
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
Strong problem‑solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, self‑starter, collaborative
Understanding and application of confidentiality
About the Job The hourly wage for this opportunity is $29.00 to $32.00 based on relevant previous experience.
All candidates must be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
