Elevate pediatric care as a Registered Practical Nurse with Waterloo Regional Health Network. This temporary part-time role focuses on exemplary patient and family-centered support at Midtown Hospital.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, your role entails providing top-notch care to pediatric patients while effectively collaborating with families. Applicants must hold a valid nursing license, and possess one year of pediatric experience or have completed a pediatric consolidation during their training. Key skills include critical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to provide IV medication and fluid management.
Key Responsibilities:• Deliver exemplary pediatric patient care in a safe environment • Support patient and family education effectively • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team • Maintain clear documentation using computer-based systems • Manage IV medication administration for patients
Requirements:• Valid license from the College of Nurses of Ontario • One year experience with pediatric patients • Completion of a mandatory breastfeeding course • Current PALS Provider status • Valid BCLS HCP certification
