Join MAC as a Counselor for Afterschool and Day Camps, supervising and engaging children in enriching activities across various breaks. Experience in a community setting is essential.
As a Counselor, you'll be responsible for the well-being and supervision of children during afterschool programs and seasonal camps offered by MAC. You will organize exciting activities, maintain a tidy camp, and ensure all equipment is in working order. Your role includes implementing camp rules and managing any behavioral issues proactively.
Key Responsibilities:• Oversee children in afterschool and camp activities • Organize and lead engaging recreational programs • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards at camp • Conduct daily headcounts for participant safety • Create a positive atmosphere for all campers
Requirements:• One season of camp or relevant leadership experience • Preferred certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid • Highly motivated to work outdoors and with diverse groups • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Experience in group management and conflict resolution
