Salary Range: $47,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually
A Sales Event Coordinator establishes, develops and maintains sales activities and relationships with Clients. Sales Event Coordinators are responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring positive clients experience and generating new sales opportunities.
What will you be doing?
Prospect and target new business opportunities and leads via phone, in person, email and networking
Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, arrange and confirm all event details with client prior to the event
Effectively sell and book venue meeting space and catering both onsite at Bingemans Conference Centre and off Premise
Build and maintain a positive relationship with clients with a key understanding of the client’s needs
Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for clients
Work and communicate effectively with all operational departments
Respond to inquires by setting up discovery calls via phone, video, email or in person
Participate/attend local community events to develop business
Attend trade shows, networking events as needed
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals
Oversee all client event communications between the sales team and the operations departments, including reporting, change notices etc
Ensure all permits are in place for liquor license, extensions, and tents
Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
1-2 years sales experience (preferably hospitality) actively prospecting and securing new business
Experience selling to a variety of market segments
Post-secondary diploma in Sales, Business or equivalent
Strong business development and organizational skills
Confident and engaging
Motivated by sales targets / goals
Excellent time management skills, able to work in a constantly fast-paced environment and demonstrated work flexibility
Must possess professional decorum and an assertive sales quality
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
This is a Monday-Friday in office job with weekends and evenings required for meeting with clients and attending events.
Salary plus performance-based incentive program.
