Design Co-op (Fall 2026), Kingston

Co‑op Student – Architecture (HDR Kingston) Design‑focused co‑op student role focused on collaboration with architects and team members on a variety of architectural design and construction tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist in the production of schematic design, design development, and contract documents, including floor plans, elevations, details, sections, and schedules.

Create 3‑D views and renderings.

Apply architectural procedures and techniques.

Independently perform architectural assignments with instruction from senior team members.

Work on contract administration duties.

Required Skills

Revit 2020 and higher

AutoCAD 2020 or higher

Photoshop

Knowledge of building technology, assembly, construction methodologies, and material applications

Ability to multitask while maintaining high levels of proficiency

Preferred Skills

Rhino

Enscape (rendering plugin for Revit and Rhino)

SketchUp

InDesign

Other visualization specialties

Required Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Must possess strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Attitude and commitment to being an active participant in an employee‑owned culture.
