Following Providence Care and Mohawk Medbuy policies the Supply/Receiving Attendant is responsible for all supply related activities from receipt to final delivery of the supplies to their intended destination within the organization.

Education&Experience

Secondary School Graduation Diploma required

Successful completion of one post-secondary level course in Operations, Supply Chain or Material Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Minimum one year experience in a medium to large warehouse/production/materiel management setting, preferably in a Healthcare environment

Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods or the ability to acquire certification within the trial period, required

Position Duties&Responsibilities

Acts as the primary liaison and point of accountability for assigned customers, coordinating with Hospital Operations stakeholders to meet all supply needs, prevent supply disruptions, and proactively reduce clutter, excess inventory, unnecessary returns, and waste

Replenishes and maintains unit supply storage locations ensuring proper supply levels are maintained to meet customer demand

Ensures inventory stored in both unit storage location (USL) and central inventory are properly displayed at all times, safely stored, secure, safe to handle (uncontaminated) with adherence to infection control practices

Calculates and allocates the appropriate space requirements for the safe and proper storage and staging of products

Assists with the functional planning/designing/selecting/organizing of unit storage location revisions or complete builds as necessary

Prepares daily audit reports and performs cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity

Utilizes and maintains systems to transmit inventory counts, ensuring a high level of integrity/accuracy of items replenished

Runs required reports and investigates any discrepancies

Accountable for adjustments of variances within predetermined tolerance levels

Accountable for accurate and prompt receipt of materials at the Hospital’s receiving dock

Inspects and verifies goods received against shipping documents and purchase orders

Performs other related duties as assigned
