Science and Math Online Teacher Position, Nelson

Elev8 (DESK Program) is seeking a dedicated online learning teacher specializing in Science and Math for a summer term position. Applicants must have experience with the D2L/Brightspace platform and hold a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate.

As a part-time teacher with a 0.9286 FTE commitment, you'll engage senior high students in various exciting science and math courses, primarily focusing on Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Pre-Calculus. The role may adjust with course enrollment changes and requires a commitment to equity hiring practices.

Key Responsibilities:• Teach senior high school courses in Science and Math • Utilize D2L/Brightspace platform for online classes • Adapt teaching methods based on student needs • Assess student progress and provide feedback • Collaborate with teaching staff to improve course delivery
