Job Overview Elev8 DESK is looking for a 1.0 FTE (term) PHE 10 and Humanities teacher from June 8 - 26, 2026 or until the return of the incumbent, whichever is sooner.

Responsibilities

Experience teaching using the D2L/Brightspace platform is required.

A knowledge of senior high humanities courses is required.

Online courses include: Career Life Connections

Career Life Education

English Studies 12

Explorations in Social Studies 11

Law Studies 12

Paper based Humanities courses based out of Creston. If working remotely outside of the Creston region, paper based work will be uploaded and sent to the successful teacher for evaluation.

Benefits Salary Range: $68,589 - $114,833 per year, in accordance with the current SD8–Kootenay Lake / KLTF Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary grid is based on qualifications and years of teaching experience as evaluated by the BC Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).

Requirements Applicants must be certified in British Columbia with a Professional Teaching Certificate, or be eligible for certification by the start date of the assignment.
