Description
Join the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society as a Family Response Worker. This full-time role focuses on developing wellness plans with Indigenous families and community partners.
As a Family Response Worker, you will engage directly with Indigenous family members and the Ministry of Children and Family Development. You will develop culturally appropriate wellness strategies, support engagement in community activities, and attend to emergency situations for families. Your role will include conducting assessments, forming long-term plans, and evaluating family progress through written reports.
Key Responsibilities:• Work with families in-home and community settings • Develop culturally relevant support plans • Perform family and individual assessments • Provide regular updates and reports to families • Assist families during emergencies and appointments
Requirements:• Bachelor of Social Work degree required • Knowledge of Child&Community Service Act• Experience with urban Indigenous communities • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle • Consent to a criminal record check
