Part-Time Humanities Teacher at Elev8, Nelson

Elev8 is seeking a part-time PHE 10 and Humanities teacher for their summer session. Experience with D2L/Brightspace and senior high humanities knowledge is crucial.

This position is for a 0.5 FTE term role at Elev8's DESK Program. The ideal candidate will teach courses such as English Studies 12, Social Studies, and Physical Education. A certification as a teacher in British Columbia or eligibility for certification by the start date is required, ensuring the highest teaching standards.

Key Responsibilities:• Teach English Studies and Social Studies for seniors • Engage students in Physical and Health Education classes • Utilize D2L/Brightspace for online teaching • Monitor and assess student progress throughout courses • Adapt courses based on enrollment figures
