Traffic Engineer - Safety and Design, Kelowna

Lead traffic engineering initiatives with a focus on safety and roadway design as a Traffic Engineer in your city. This role is critical for managing traffic operations and safety improvements.

As a Traffic Engineer, you'll evaluate data and traffic conditions, implementing corrective designs to enhance safety. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating installations of traffic devices and addressing community inquiries about traffic concerns. Key Responsibilities:• Analyze traffic data and suggest safety improvements • Manage installation of traffic signals and signs • Report hazardous conditions and coordinate responses • Review and assess development applications • Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD

Requirements:• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related area • 2-4 years’ experience in transportation project management • Experience with RFP preparation and technical documentation • Proficiency in transportation modeling tools • Strong verbal and written public engagement skills
