About the Role We’re hiring a

Commercial Leasing Specialist

to take ownership of leasing activity across our office, retail, and industrial portfolio. This is a full‑cycle role: you’ll source prospects, structure deals, negotiate and execute leases, manage administration, and drive renewals. You’ll also be one of the faces of our commercial portfolio in the market — actively prospecting, networking, and representing Stober Group to brokers, tenants, andthe broader business community.

This role is ideal for someone who’s equal parts dealmaker and relationship‑builder, and who wants to see their work directly shape one of the Okanagan’s most recognizable portfolios.

What You’ll Do

Generate qualified leasing leads through direct outreach, broker relationships, networking, and market research

Tour spaces with prospective tenants and brokers; build pipeline across office, retail, and industrial vacancies

Develop and execute targeted marketing and outreach campaigns in partnership with our marketing team

Represent Stober Group at industry events and within the local business community

Deal&Lease Structuring

Negotiate commercial terms (rent, term, inducements, options, exclusivity, use clauses, etc.) aligned with portfolio strategy

Prepare offers to lease, LOIs, and term sheets; collaborate with legal counsel on lease documentation

Underwrite deals and present recommendations to leadership with clear economic and strategic rationale

Execution&Administration

Manage the deal pipeline from first contact through lease execution and tenant move‑in

Coordinate with property management, construction, finance, and legal to ensure seamless handoff

Maintain accurate CRM and lease abstract records, tracking critical dates, options, and obligations

Renewals&Tenant Retention

Own the renewal cycle: forecast expiries, initiate conversations early, and negotiate terms that maximize NOI while retaining great tenants

Build long‑term relationships with existing tenants and act as a trusted point of contact

What You Bring

3+ years of commercial real estate leasing, brokerage, or related transactional experience (office, retail, and/or industrial)

A track record of closing deals— you know how to move a prospect from interest to signed lease

Strong working knowledge of commercial offer and lease structures, market rents, and standard deal terms

Confident negotiator who can advocate firmly while preserving long‑term relationships

Self‑directed prospector — comfortable picking up the phone, working a room, and building a pipeline from scratch

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished and credible with C‑suite tenants, brokers, and ownership

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (you can juggle a dozen deals without dropping any)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi/MRI, VTS, or similar CRM/leasing platforms is an asset

Valid BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Nice to Have

Established broker network in the Okanagan or broader BC interior

Experience working in‑house on the landlord/owner side of the table

Experience working in a brokerage on the tenant/representation side of the table

Background in property management, asset management, or commercial development
