Position Summary We are hiring a permanent, full time Early Childhood Development Speech‑Language Pathologist (S-LP) for Williams Lake Cariboo Community Health Services.
Days of work Monday to Friday
Shift time 08:30 to 16:30

About this position As an Early Childhood Development Speech‑Language Pathologist, you will work with children from birth to school entry and their families, supporting a diverse population from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Your role will include screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication development. You will collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to support early communication skills, and participate in family‑centred, culturally responsive care. This position also involves regular collaboration with professionals from the Ministry of Children&Family Development (MCFD), the Ministry of Education, and local community organizations.
Responsibilities
Screening and assessment of speech, language, and communication development.
Intervention planning and delivery.
Coaching parents and caregivers.
Providing education to families and community partners.
Collaborating with MCFD, Ministry of Education, and local community organizations.

Qualifications
Full practicing licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
One year recent, related experience in working with clients in an Early Childhood Development setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Driver’s license.
