Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our Mental Health&Substance Use (MHSU) Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at Kamloops Mental Health, Kamloops BC. About The Job
Functions as a member of the larger Hospitals&Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multidisciplinary care team.
Ensures that persons with serious, persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use and/or developmental disability issues have access to timely, responsive, evidence‑based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services.
Provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in physical health, personal, family, financial, occupational, and social domains.
Functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients, and their families.
Works in an outreach model, meeting clients in their homes and community, and supports ongoing mental health assessment, case management, housing assistance, family support, and substance use services.
This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0–37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings rotating from 08:30 to 16:30 and 08:30 to 20:30 hours.
