Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Operations is Canada’s largest open-pit copper mine and molybdenum operation. HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation. Key Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. Install and calibrate instruments used for measurement and control in production. Repair and maintain process control field instrumentation. Troubleshooting of instrumentation devices. Perform in a team-oriented environment with various trades.Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment. Qualifications

Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic with Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent Minimum 4 years’ experience in an industrial environment preferably in mining Valid Driver’s License Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience would be a definite asset.Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be willing to work shift work Pay Range: CAD $56.61 per hour Working Conditions

Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere. Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role. Most employees commute to site by car, and carpooling is common among team members.Why Teck
