About The Job

We are looking for a compassionate and community-focused professional to support families with children from birth to 5 years old. In this role, you will help families build confidence, strengthen parenting skills, and connect with valuable community resources. Key Responsibilities

Coaching and modeling parenting, communication, problem-solving, and life skills Facilitating interactive early literacy groups through songs, storytelling, and activities Conducting home visits and supporting families in their everyday environments Advocating for children and families and connecting them with community servicesResponding to crisis situations and supporting family stabilization Working collaboratively with families, MCFD, and community partners to create and monitor realistic goals and outcomes Benefits

Degree (preferred) or Diploma in Human/Social Services and 2 years experience working with families with young children Early Childhood Educator with 3 years experience in early childhood development Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Your Unique Qualities

Valid Class 5 Driver’s license and safe driving record Own vehicle with Business Use and $5 million liability insurance (reimbursement for increased premiums is provided) Consent to Criminal Record and Background Checks Following training are required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: CPR‑C, Mandt, SafeTalk, Safe Food Handling, MCFD Privacy, Abuse and Neglect Awareness, Anti‑Bullying and Harassment.This position requires frequent travel within the community to visit clients in their homes This position requires Union membership and 1.85% union dues are deducted from each pay Position Details
