The Frobisher Inn is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef / Baker to join our culinary team full-time. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baking and pastry arts, with the versatility to support broader kitchen operations. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and seasonal desserts, while also assisting with general food preparation and maintaining a clean, organized workstation.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts for daily service and special events Develop and execute seasonal dishes in collaboration with the Executive Chef Assist with prep work for other kitchen stations as needed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of your workstation and shared kitchen areasEnsure proper storage and rotation of ingredients and finished products Follow all food safety and operational guidelines Contribute to menu planning and innovation with a focus on quality and presentation Support kitchen operations during peak service periods and special functions Perform proper cleanup of workstations and other areas as required by operational needsQualifications: Proven experience as a pastry chef, baker, or in a similar role Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and kitchen safety standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management and organizational skillsCulinary certification or equivalent experience preferred Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Full-time position with flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays Subsidized shared staff housing in a furnished unit Relocation assistance available for the selected and qualified candidateUniform and training provided Opportunities for growth within a dynamic hospitality team
