Operations Manager in Iqaluit, Ikaluit

Astro Hill / Nunastar Properties is searching for an Operations Manager to supervise diverse residential and commercial properties in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Ideal candidates possess strong technical expertise and leadership abilities in a remote setting.

This managerial role requires overseeing operations, maintenance, and a team of 15-20 employees while ensuring compliance and efficient management. With at least 6 years in building operations and Class 4 Power Engineering certification, you’ll manage infrastructure like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities:• Oversee daily building operations across properties • Lead maintenance and facilities personnel effectively • Conduct inspections and mechanical assessments regularly • Manage boiler plants and HVAC systems efficiently • Develop and monitor preventative maintenance programs

Requirements:• Minimum 6 years in building operations or facilities management • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical operations • Proven leadership experience with maintenance teams • Familiar with work-order systems for preventative maintenance • Willingness to relocate to Iqaluit, NU
