Caledonia Wastewater Treatment Operator, West Haldimand (Port Dover)

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator in Caledonia/Hagersville. Ensure the safe treatment of wastewater while conducting lab and field tests and operating essential equipment.

As a Plant Operator at Veolia, you'll be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of wastewater systems. In this role, you will perform essential operations like controlling pumps and monitoring readings, along with routine maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities:• Operate pumps, valves, and chemical feed systems • Monitor gauges and adjust controls to regulate flow • Sample wastewater and sludge per scheduled protocols • Diagnose operational issues and implement corrective actions • Ensure proper housekeeping and waste disposal practices

Requirements:• OWWCO - WWT certification Level 1 required • Valid driver’s license with a clean record • Willingness to pursue higher-level certifications • Strong analytical skills for monitoring and reporting • Dependable and able to work weekends and on-call as needed
