High School Coach/Tutor/Teacher Wanted
Are you passionate about mathematics and science? Does the challenge of helping students develop their skills in these subjects excite you? Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part-time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students in Grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies Providing personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology Filling out post-lesson notes and communicating student progressMaintaining a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high school curriculum Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and work with students at different levelsIn return, you'll enjoy:

$19 - $20 / hour to start Schedule:
Evenings Monday toThursday 4pm - 7pm or 8:30pm The company does not provide sponsorship for work visas or assistance with relocation expenses. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country without sponsorship. Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 12 or a C2 proficient level in English.Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Halifax area.
