High School Coach/Tutor/Teacher Wanted

Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part-time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students in Grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.Your responsibilities will include:

Teaching up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies Providing personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology Filling out post-lesson notes and communicating student progressMaintaining a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high school curriculum Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and work with students at different levelsIn return, you'll enjoy:

$19 - $20 / hour to start Schedule:

Evenings Monday toThursday 4pm - 7pm or 8:30pm The company does not provide sponsorship for work visas or assistance with relocation expenses. Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 12 or a C2 proficient level in English.Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Halifax area.
