Are you interested in electronics? Do you have an eye for detail and a desire to get to the bottom of a problem? Do you like the idea of working across the organization? The role we are looking to fill reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities for new, and existing products and supporting the Quality Management System as per ISO9001 requirements.To succeed in this role, the successful candidate should have experience in a Quality Engineering/Specialist role in a manufacturing environment, and have a technical qualification with relevant experience. The successful candidate can look forward to a variety of challenges including: Leading project quality assurance activities and be the QA point of contact;Developing and implementing quality assurance deliverables (plans, presentations, reports, analyses); Defining and implementing contract specific supplier quality requirements, supplier approval, development, milestones and monitoring; Training relevant staff to specific contract quality assurance requirements;Leading failure analysis and root cause investigation (internal and external), as well as developing and implementing corrective and preventative actions; Maintaining records, analysis of pertinent data and reporting on trends; Interaction and coordination at all levels, and across all functions;Maintenance of Nautel's ISO9001 Quality Management System by supporting day-to-day Production Operations and auditing of policies, procedures, methods and activities; Use of internal tools for reporting, analysis and record-keeping; Document writing supporting all of the above. Qualifications
3-5 Years + Experience in a quality role, in an electronics/manufacturing environment. Ability to learn technical aspects of our product, to the component level; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Experience in writing analysis, audit and investigation reports; Ability to work across all functions in a hands-on, as well as leadership capacity;Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently; Strong data driven problem solving and analytical skills; Prior experience with ISO9001 quality systems in a manufacturing environment. Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies, six sigma techniques, calibration, document control and configuration management;Strong Microsoft Office skills; Project management and planning skills; Ideally, candidates would hold an ElectronicsTechnologist or Technician Diploma ; and have either ASQ Quality designation and/or six sigma accreditations; Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must be eligible to meet requirements for immediate clearance in Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Industrial Security Clearance (Canadian Citizenship/PR). Background checks will be undertaken.Additional Information
