Registration Consultant
Ensures fair, equitable, and consistent application of regulatory requirements and policies for applicants seeking registration and licensure.
Determines eligibility to write, and ensures appropriate administration of, all registration examination(s).
Determines eligibility for all forms of registration and licensure with NSCN and communicates these decisions, with reasons, in writing.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all registration decisions in the registration database.
Provides guidance and interpretation of registration requirements, policies, and legislation to applicants, members, and stakeholders across the health sector.
Ensures registration and licensure forms, processes, and website content are current, accurate, and aligned with best practices.
Participates in the development of legislation, policies, guidelines, and recommendations that support effective regulatory function.
Prepares reports and shares insights on trends, data, and issues impacting registration services, and supports committees and stakeholders as needed.
Education and Experience
Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience working with databases and/or regulatory registration processes considered an asset.
Current nursing license to practice or eligibility to register with NSCN would be considered an asset.
Job Specific Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work in teams.
Experience managing a high workload in a fast‑paced environment.
Technical proficiency in the use of computers and programs.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
Work independently with little supervision.
About You You bring experience working in a regulatory, administrative, or health‑related environment and are comfortable applying policies and legislation in a fair and consistent way.
You’re highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in your work, especially when working with databases and systems. You’re comfortable using technology and take pride in keeping information complete and up to date.
