Civil Engineering Designer - Mining Sector, Sudbury

Transform the mining landscape as a Senior Civil Engineering Designer. Your expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD will be essential in creating designs for critical earthwork and water retention projects.

In this independent contracting role, you will leverage over 10 years of EPCM/design experience to produce detailed engineering drawings and undertake site assessments. Collaboration with a dedicated engineering team will be necessary for ensuring project success. Periodic field visits and technical support will enhance project delivery, while effective communication across disciplines is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:• Create civil earthwork engineering drawings and models • Visit sites for checks and technical assessments • Collaborate with project teams and clients • Deliver timely and thorough material take-offs • Prepare as-built drawings and manage design specifications

Requirements:• Diploma or degree in engineering required • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience • Extensive use of Civil 3D and AutoCAD • History in the mining field preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
