Language Requirement
Written and spoken competency in one of the two official languages (English or French); spoken competency in the other official language is required.
Duties of Position Clinical expectations and responsibilities for Advanced Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP) for Advanced Care Paramedics, Paramedic Association of New Brunswick registration requirements, and Ambulance NB policies, procedures, and protocols.
Our paramedics provide medical support to patients on scene and en route to hospitals. Given the unpredictability of clinical presentations in the field, they are skilled in emergency techniques and well‑versed in various medical treatments. They remain present until the job is completed.
Required Qualifications
You are entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit).
Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
Must have a high regard for confidentiality and patient safety.
Advanced Care Paramedic program/course of over six months.
Must be registered, active Advanced Care Paramedic with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick.
Must have a valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
Must be willing to participate and contribute to future pilot projects, related research initiatives and focus groups.
Must be willing to participate in community Paramedicine duties.
