About the Role Industrial Electrical Technologist to join the Electrical&Instrumentation team in Fredericton, NB. Whether you are an experienced professional or building your career, we welcome candidates at various stages who are eager to contribute to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
Innovate and Design: Contribute to the development of electrical and instrumentation designs for industrial, water and municipal projects.
Create with Precision: Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards, safety and QA/QC policies.
Drive Projects Forward: Complete electrical design tasks and calculations essential to project success.
Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, including utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors and clients.
Explore On‑Site: Assist with field investigations, gathering essential data of existing conditions and completing field observations.
Ensure Excellence: Ensure electrical design documents are coordinated, thorough and clear with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications and Capabilities
Educational Background: Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Experience: Preferably over 5 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting; open to candidates with less experience who are eager to learn and grow.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with ability to create and edit electrical designs.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment.
Organized and Detail‑Oriented: Ability to multi‑task, manage time effectively and pay close attention to detail.
Effective Communications: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What Makes You Stand Out
Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment, specifically in industrial projects.
Certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or the potential to become registered.
Experience with AGI32 and/or ElumTools lighting simulation software, and SKM Power Tools.
