Join our team as a dedicated Support Worker in Peace River, providing quality care for young individuals aged 2-17 during after-school hours and on non-school days. This role requires compassion and dedication.
Work part-time Monday to Friday from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm, with comprehensive coverage on non-school days from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. You’ll be responsible for delivering respite care, managing medication, and ensuring proper meal preparation. Your expertise will also assist with mobility and creating fun, engaging activities for children and young adults.
Key Responsibilities:• Offer respite care and support daily activities • Administer medications as required • Prepare meals aligned with dietary needs • Assist in mobility, including G-tube support • Engage children with companionship and activities
Requirements:• Experience in caregiving necessary • Familiarity with medication procedures • Physical capability to assist and lift • Strong communication skills and empathy • Valid First Aid and transportation needed
