ABOUT THE POSITION Interacting with potential customers to understand their purchase and vehicle preferences, demonstrate comfort and convenience features, facilitate test drives, and assist with the completion of the necessary paperwork required to complete the sale. Sales professionals strive to meet their monthly sales targets by following a daily work plan that focuses their attention on sales-generating activity and providing excellent customer service from initial contact to final delivery. The primary function of an Automotive Sales Representative is to make customers feel welcome and supported throughout the car-purchasing process; ensuring the customer is satisfied and will continue to use the dealership for their future maintenance and car buying needs.
In this automotive sales role, you build exceptional client relationships with the aim of driving repeat business as you consistently achieve your sales and profitability objectives. By planning your sales routine, advance booking your client meetings, leveraging continued contact with your clientele, and closing the deal you will have the recipe to accelerate your earning potential and expand your career horizons.
RESPONSIBILITES
Greet and assist customers entering the showroom floor, presenting a professional environment that supports automotive sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
Answer questions about new cars, used cars, vehicle performance, RV’s&trailers
Employ strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport when assisting potential customers with their vehicle selection and finalizing their payment terms
Maintain an up-to-date customer database to drive current and future automotive sales for the dealership
Present used and new cars through test drives, demonstrations, and dealership walk-throughs including RVs
Leverage negotiation skills without compromising customer satisfaction to carry out the sales process following dealership standards and policies
Send emails and make calls to prospective buyers in an effort to ensure that your daily calendar has the necessary amount of customer appointments to guarantee that productivity goals are being met
Follow up with previously sold clients to earn repeat and referral business while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction standards possible, striving for perfection with each transaction
Follow up with customers from multiple sources including walk-in traffic, phone calls and internet sourced leads.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 19 years of age or older to meet insurance requirements for operating a motor vehicle
Open availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays knowing that employees are required to stay until the customer’s purchase is complete and their satisfaction ensured
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct emails and messages in a professional and inviting manner
Has the competitive spirit, drive, outgoing personality, consistency, and resilience to meet monthly sales objectives while following a daily work plan
Ability to overcome objections
Ability to provide outstanding customer service
