The Role We are currently looking for a Concrete Quality Inspector to join our team at various project locations throughout Western Canada.

Compensation&Benefits
Competitive hourly rate
Benefits package after 90 days including extended health, dental, vision, travel, and paramedicals (50/50 employer-employee split)
LTD, AD&D, life insurance, and dependent life insurance coverage
Vacation and statutory holiday pay totaling 10% of regular wages
Cell phone allowance or company provided cell phone
A company provided laptop
Weekly pay (Fridays)

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Create ITPs and assemble turnover documentation for submittal and approval by the client.
Perform visual inspections on pile splices, gusset welds and structural steel.
Communicate with all stakeholders on requirements around concrete placement activities.
Understand testing requirements related to concrete.
Document review of compressive strength testing, slump and air content results from batch plant and on site subcontractor to ensure compliance.
Review mix designs to verify they meet project specifications and CSA standards.
Inspect formwork, rebar placement and pour conditions before concrete is poured.
Monitor and document batching plant operations.
Record test results and maintain detailed field reports.
Flag non-conforming concrete and communicate results with construction supervision.
Post‑pour inspections to ensure concrete meets client and code requirements post curing.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector Certification
Minimum 3-5 years experience in concrete quality inspection
Solid working knowledge of CSA A23.1 (Concrete Material and Methods) and CSA A23.2 (Test Methods and Standard Practices)
Familiarity with ITP checkpoints and quality documentation requirements
Proficiency using Google Suite, Bluebeam, and MS Office applications
Ability to interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and weld maps accurately
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record‑keeping
Capable of conducting visual inspections (VT) and identifying weld discontinuities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration
Must have the following safety tickets: CSTS‑2020 or equivalent, WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive
Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation to travel to project locations in NE BC/AB
Experience with cold weather concreting practices
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
