Elevate agricultural practices as a Sales Agronomist for Big River Agro in Fort Vermilion, Alberta. This role combines agronomy expertise with sales strategy in a unique farming region.
As a Sales Agronomist, you will be responsible for delivering agronomic advisory services, driving sales of crop inputs, and fostering essential client relationships. The role involves evaluating soil conditions, providing tailored agronomic recommendations, and staying current with industry trends to effectively support growers in the Peace River region known for its unique soil types and climatic challenges. You will play a significant role in optimizing crop production and advising on pest and disease management.
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct field assessments to assess soil and crop health • Develop and recommend tailored agronomic strategies • Monitor and advise on regional pest threats and management • Implement agronomic sales strategies to enhance product revenue • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or related discipline • At least 2 years of relevant advisory experience • Strong understanding of integrated pest management • Ability to work independently across rural areas • Active membership or eligibility for Alberta Institute of Agrologists
