Professional Respite Support Worker, Northwestern Alberta (High Level)

Become a vital part of our team as a Respite Support Worker for children and young adults aged 2-17. This role features convenient morning and after-school hours, plus required driving tasks.

As a Respite Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate care and support for children facing challenges. Your job includes helping with daily activities, overseeing medication administration, and preparing meals that align with specific dietary needs. You will also oversee personal care tasks and participate in engaging activities to enhance their daily experience.

Key Responsibilities:• Provide quality respite care and support in daily routines • Administer prescribed medications following guidelines • Prepare meals that meet children’s dietary restrictions • Handle diaper changing and overall personal care • Engage children with fun, stimulating activities

Requirements:• Caregiving experience, especially with Autism and PICA • Knowledgeable in medication administration practices • Physically able to assist and lift children • Strong interpersonal skills and a caring approach • Valid First Aid, Police Check, and a driver’s license necessary
