Position Overview
Human Resources Manager reports to the Area Director and supports HR functions within the branch setting in collaboration with the assigned National Service Centre HR Business Partner. Responsibilities
Handle telephone&written inquiries relating to hiring and selection of field employees. Hire and screen field employees per Bayshore policies: schedule interviews, conduct interviews, administer&evaluate skills tests, complete reference checks, arrange police clearances, initiate onboarding, arrange information sessions. Recruit and select administrative and supervisory employees as requested. Deliver HR orientation items (H&S, payroll, photo IDs). Maintain electronic employee HR files: registration, education certificates, security clearances, references, probationary&annual performance reviews, coaching notes, disciplinary records, supervisory reports, training documentation, exit interview info. Coordinate or delegate employee engagement activities. Manage benefits program: probation, arrears, LOA, change forms. Lead branch health and safety committee. Ensure full‑time and part‑time employees meet hours for FT/PT or casual status.Provide employment letters as requested. Handle payroll&benefits inquiries and assist employees with forms. Process reference checks and employment verification; refer difficult situations to Area Director. Manage Workers Compensation claims documentation, filing reports, follow‑up, develop modified work programs. Maintain knowledge of provincial legislation: Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health&Safety, Labour laws; handle violations. Assist with discipline&counseling of employees. Develop and participate in ongoing internal or external continuing education activities. Support Area Director with office operations. Supervise branch HR employees and other administrative personnel when designated. Complete other tasks as required. Education and Experience
Minimum: Completion of a recognized Human Resources Diploma or Degree program. Working towards CHRP designation considered an asset. 3‑5 years of progressive HR experience with emphasis in full cycle recruitment, performance management, and WSIB claims management. Skills and Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills, objective problem solving, handling difficult situations. Independent and team work, meeting deadlines. Intermediate level computer skills: MS Office, HRIS, ATS. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Valid driver licence and reliable vehicle for location/branch coverage.Fluency in written and spoken English; French fluency required for Quebec locations. Commitment to continued learning. Benefits
