Role Responsibilities
Lead and conduct systems analyses for major forestry and wildfire projects, programs, and initiatives. Design and facilitate complex, multi‑stakeholder processes involving government, industry, Indigenous communities, and interest groups. Conduct horizon scanning, foresight, and jurisdictional analysis to identify emerging issues and strategic opportunities.Develop policy and program scenario models to assess impacts on forest, wildfire, and forest industry management. Provide strategic advice, recommendations, and briefings to senior leadership and government decision makers. Support cross‑government and intergovernmental initiatives aligned with divisional and departmental priorities.Apply change‑management principles to streamline divisional processes and improve operational effectiveness. Support business‑transformation initiatives to ensure alignment with core Forestry Division and departmental objectives. Manage and integrate research and analysis to inform policy, program, and strategic decisions.Support ongoing mandates, operations, and continuous improvement across the Forestry Division. A university degree in Policy, Public Administration, Natural Resources, Organizational Psychology, Strategic Foresight, Futures, Strategy, Communications, or a closely related field. Four years of progressively responsible related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Project management or team‑leadership experience is an asset. Experience working across departments, jurisdictions, or with Indigenous communities, industry, or environmental organizations. Experience in organizational design, solving complex problems, and change management. Additional Information
This permanent, full‑time role requires 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and travel within the area and throughout the province. Candidates may be asked to complete a written assignment as part of the interview process. Candidates are responsible for any associated costs for required documents, checks, or interview travel expenses. Out‑of‑province applicants may obtain required documents/checks from the province they currently reside in.Closing Statement
