Description
Position Summary The Systems Administrator will support and manage a Windows based environment and a range of accompanying applications and services that enable business operations at our multiple sites across western Canada and northwestern US. This is considered an in-office position based out of our office in Edmonton, Alberta, though on occasion the incumbent will be required to travel to our surrounding sites.

Key Responsibilities

Helpdesk operations supporting primarily Microsoft applications, Windows PCs and peripherals.

User account management

Prep new and existing PCs for service

Active Directory account management

Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) / Azure AD account management

RingCentral VOIP account management

Basic administration of a virtualized (VMware) Windows server environment

PC lifecycle tracking and management

Troubleshooting and repair of PC&laptop hardware

Troubleshooting and management of local area networks and internet services

Assisting with the development and implementation of larger projects

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize

Ability to remain calm and solve problems in stressful situations

Ability to work with basic hand tools in the context of computer repair and network equipment installation

Diploma in Computer Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Applicant must have their own vehicle for occasional trips to sites located within Alberta

Additional experience or knowledge that would be considered an asset includes:

Structured cabling installation and/or troubleshooting

Information systems security

Cisco device management

SharePoint administration and/or development

Experience with collaborative tools such as Teams and/or Slack.

JIRA/Confluence

Office 365 administration

Azure AD administration
