Lead HR initiatives with the Pacheedaht First Nation as a Human Resources Manager in Port Renfrew. This immersive role combines strategic leadership with employee relations and cultural alignment in a close-knit community.
The Human Resources Manager is a senior position, reporting to the Band Manager, overseeing HR functions for around 90 employees. You will spearhead workforce planning, recruitment, and policy implementation, rooted in community values and wellness. This hands-on role requires balancing strategic vision with day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:• Lead workforce planning and staffing aligned with operational priorities • Support culturally safe workplace practices and community values • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations • Oversee recruitment processes and support employee engagement initiatives• Develop and implement HR policies and ensure compliance
Requirements:• Degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including management • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices • Exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving skills • Indigenous experience or knowledge of Indigenous communities preferred
