French Teacher/Tutor Wanted. Eager to help students turn“Je ne sais pas” into “Oh la la”? Motivated to help support children’s French education outside of the classroom? Oxford Learning Dollard des Ormeaux is seeking a part-time French tutor. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français! We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. Class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons; teachers do not need to lesson plan. Teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding.Position Details

Location: Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec (in-person). Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. This role is in-person and requires commuting to the location. Employment Type: Part Time. Schedule typically includes after-school and evening hours (3:30pm - 8:00pm) and Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is a plus. Reliability is essential. You will instruct class sessions in French and must be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level (Grade 11 preferred).Responsibilities

Teach up to 3 students at a time across different levels Teach online and in-person sessions Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times Qualifications

Strong background in spoken and written French and English; able to teach up to Grade 9 (Grade 11 preferred) Education: CEGEP or Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field; teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of the current French curriculum Experience teaching/tutoring French at Grade 1 to 11 (or equivalent); strong English communication skillsAbility to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Benefits&Rewards
