The Data Engineer is an essential team member who helps support the organization’s mission of enabling better, faster, and simpler decisions through data. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems that ensure the efficient flow of high‑quality data for analytics and reporting. The Data Engineer will contribute to building scalable data solutions and gain hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, ETL tools, and best practices, driving key initiatives that impact business objectives.Duties&Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for transforming, integrating, and ensuring data quality across multiple sources Assist in building and optimizing data warehousing solutions to support analytics and reporting functions Build and manage ETL processes using tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or similarImplement cloud‑based data solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Snowflake, ensuring scalability and efficiency Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accurate and consistent data flows across systems Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data requirements and contributeto the design of data solutionsContribute to the creation of technical documentation for data pipelines and workflows, including code comments and best practices Apply data governance principles and compliance practices to ensure data is handled and stored securely Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering to improve systems and processesExperience&Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field Experience: 2‑5 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related role Database Systems: Proficiency in SQL, with hands‑on experience in Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or similar platformsETL Tools: Strong experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory or equivalent Cloud Platforms: Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Snowflake environments Programming: Proficiency in programming languages like Python or SQL Data Governance: Understanding of data governance and compliance standardsTicketing Tool: Working knowledge of Jira and/or Workfront for project management and issue tracking Soft Skills: Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Languages: Proficiency in French and English is an assetExperience with machine learning frameworks or data science concepts Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Strong analytical skills with a passion for data and problem‑solving A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving existing systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environmentAdditional Details For This Role
