As a Butcher, you serve as an ambassador for the butchery department. You provide professional, personalized customer service while ensuring the quality, freshness, and presentation of all products. You strictly follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards, and contribute to the operational excellence of the department.

Responsibilities

Greet and advise customers on cuts, products, cooking methods, and storage.

Deliver personalized service and share culinary knowledge.

Perform meat, poultry, and related product cuts.

Prepare products for sale: cutting, tying, packaging, weighing, and labeling.

Prepare marinades based on store recipes.

Ensure displays and refrigerated cases are properly stocked, clean, and visually appealing.

Follow opening and/or closing procedures for the department.

Receive and store merchandise while respecting the cold chain.

Monitor product quality, expiry dates, and ensure stock rotation.

Check stock levels, complete order forms, and follow up on orders as needed.

Required profile

Butcher training program

Experience in butchery (retail or similar environment).

Capacity to speak french.

High attention to quality, hygiene, and safety.

Fast, precise, and autonomous.

Ability to work in a dynamic, physically demanding environment.
