Field Safety Advisor for Transmission Project, Isthmus of Chignecto (River Hébert)

Support safety initiatives at Valard as a Field Safety Advisor for the Wasoqonatl Transmission Line project in Amherst, NS. Ensure compliance with safety standards for a secure work environment.

In this field-based role, you will report to the Regional Safety Supervisor and oversee daily safety requirements for the transmission project. Your expertise will guide supervisors, foremen, and workers in embracing Valard's safety culture. This position requires a schedule of 24 days on and 14 days off, working 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:• Be a visible safety resource in the field • Communicate and coach field staff on safety expectations • Assist in investigations of safety incidents • Review daily tailboards for hazard mitigation • Facilitate weekly safety meetings and prepare reports

Requirements:• Post-Secondary education in a related field • 5 years of construction site safety experience • National Construction Safety Officer or CRST certification • Experience with Microsoft Office applications • Valid driver's license with abstract
