Overview You are mechanically inclined, have a passion for hockey, and are experienced working in a hockey arena. As a hard‑working, self‑sufficient, and dependable employee, you are excited to take on this role that includes maintaining the refrigeration plant and all other aspects of the building, and you have the opportunity to drive the Zamboni. This role includes working varying shifts and also includes a shiftdifferential for graveyard shifts.

Responsibilities Maintain the refrigeration plant and all building systems, drive and operate the Zamboni, work varying shifts with graveyard shift differential, and collaborate with the team to keep Planet Ice’s facilities running at peak efficiency.

Qualifications To qualify for this role you already have your IFO or RO certificate, or you are a 4th or 5th class Power Engineer. Bonus points: you have a knack for fixing all things mechanical and a couple of years’ experience working in an arena. If you’re new to the world of hockey arena operations but have strong mechanical aptitude, relevant work experience, and a positive “can‑do” attitude, we can provide training and assist you to become IFO/RO certified.
