Rubicon Organics (TSX-V: ROMJ) is an award‑winning, fast‑growing licensed producer of super‑premium, certified organic cannabis. With two facilities located in Delta and Hope, BC, Rubicon is entering an exciting new phase of expansion and innovation.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to lead all Logistics and Sales Order operations across our owned facilities and third‑party partners. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of finished goods, supporting both production and commercial objectives.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, data‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, brings structure to complex operations, and empowers teams to deliver high performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing Logistics team (2 Logistics Specialists and 1 Supply Chain Coordinator), leveraging strong people management and coaching skills
Drive team engagement, performance management, and career development through effective leadership and communication
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through KPIs, development plans, and cross‑training
Oversee all logistics operations across internal facilities and third‑party providers (freight and warehousing)
Drive cost reduction initiatives through data analysis, vendor negotiations, and process improvements
Manage RFP/RFQ processes for third‑party logistics providers
Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
Track and manage supplier contracts, renewals, and compliance
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics (domestic and international), including coordination with regulatory bodies
Approve freight invoices, manage logistic spend, and improve cost efficiency per shipment
Manage month‑end freight accruals
Actively participate in and drive timely investigations, ensuring all supporting documentation is completed for Health Canada and PwC Audits
Develop and track advanced logistics KPIs
Ensure accuracy in shipping documentation and optimize transportation modes (air vs. ground)
Leverage advanced Excel tools to analyze large datasets and identify opportunities for optimization
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Quality, Finance, Marketing, R&D, and Supply Innovation teams
Support ERP enhancements and process automation initiatives
Ensure operational readiness during month‑end and quarter‑end high‑volume periods
Qualifications&Experience
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with a strong focus on Logistics
Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or CPG environment • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food&beverage) is an asset
Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
Experience with import/export, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Power Query, data modeling)
Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
SCMP, APICS, or equivalent certification is an asset
