Shop Operations Coordinator / Fleet Manager, Hants County (Shubenacadie)

An established mechanical contractor based in Dartmouth Nova Scotia is currently looking to add a Shop Coordinator / Fleet Manager. This position will be responsible for coordinating all warehouse / shop activities daily including issuing and maintaining inventory of tools, test equipment and ensure the delivery of all materials and tools from the warehouse to the jobsites and the vendors.

Responsibilities

Manage, Track, Purchase/Rent Tools utilizing various software systems and labelling.

Organize tool delivery

Check returned tools for safety and paperwork

Rent Lifts as required (coordinate with HQ Procurement Department)

Use of Hilti App to track tools/equipment

Order consumable materials for shop and job sites

Order/Supply safety equipment and track at job sites

Send tools for repair and maintenance/safety checks

Work with Project Managers and Construction Supervisors for material deliveries

Order Site Trailers when required

Work directly with foreman and assist with any requests

Material requests for shop, stock, returns and cleanups.

Responsible for organizing and keeping shop clean and free of debris.

Coordinate and communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries

Help with loading and unloading trucks

Receive all deliveries

Review outgoing orders

Coordinate with Office Management and provide consumption and maintenance reports.

Ensure full safety compliance, toolbox safety talks are conducted and documented in Shop.

Drivers licence in good standing, certified for driving all classes of fleet vehicles, Cube Van, lift gates, etc.
