Maintenance Manager
You know how to maintain a building and the equipment in it. You also understand the importance of hospitality and how to train and supervise a team to deliver on the promise of“all things in working order”. You are in charge of the Maintenance/Engineering Department’s success. Be a Point Person – manage the maintenance/engineering department, selecting, training, and overseeing staff responsible for building structure, fixtures, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds. Support a safe, secure, and comfortable guest environment.Walk the Talk– inspect areas daily, train the team when standards are not met, prioritize asset protection for investors, owners, guests, and coworkers. Be a Leader – create an engaging environment that encourages talented people to join, learn, excel, and advance. Be the Manager on Duty – oversee operations as required.Job Requirements
This role requires at least three years of progressive experience in a related field with previous supervisory experience required and customer service and hotel experience preferred. At least three years of practical experience in one or more technical trades (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical) is strongly preferred, as is any license the property may require. Previous experience with budgeting is helpful, as is a good working knowledge of Microsoft software programs used at the hotel. The ability to work with various departmental tools is also key. Successful candidates must read, write, and speak English professionally with associates, guests, and hotel management.Physical requirements include the ability to perform heavy work—lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly. Stand, walk, bend, stretch, twist or reach as needed; work under variable temperatures, noise, outdoor and indoor conditions, including roofs, chemicals, fumes, dust, and mite hazards. Long work hours aresometimes required.Behaviors
