Youth&Family Program Worker - Elementary, Courtenay

Become a pivotal part of School District 71 as a Youth&Family Program Worker in Comox Valley. This 30-hour weekly role focuses on supporting at-risk students and promoting inclusion.

As a vital member of the Inclusive Education team, you’ll work to empower students in need. Your responsibilities will include providing small group and individual support while facilitating collaboration among school staff, families, and community agencies. With at least two years of experience working with children and knowledge in areas such as family dynamics and crisis intervention, you'll play a crucial role in fostering young learners' resilience.

Key Responsibilities:• Provide support to students and families in crisis • Collaborate with teachers for Individual Education Plans • Facilitate partnerships with community agencies • Maintain comprehensive case documentation • Assist with student supervision as needed

Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care or related field • Minimum two years' experience with at-risk youth • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license and personal vehicle
