Health Care Assistant Session Instructor Role, Comox

North Island College is seeking a Sessional Instructor for the Health Care Assistant program. Deliver engaging face-to-face and online instruction to diverse cohorts while creating an inclusive learning environment.

This role is aimed at experienced educators with a practical nursing credential or BSN degree. You will teach HCA 145 and/or HCA 155 courses, adapting your instructional style to meet various learning needs. The position allows for flexible scheduling to fit program demands and requires previous post-secondary teaching experience, especially with older adults.

Key Responsibilities:• Prepare instructional materials for HCA practice courses • Deliver instruction in both face-to-face and online mediums • Maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment • Evaluate student performance and manage records • Participate in curriculum development and college committees

Requirements:• Practical Nursing credential or BSN degree • Two years' teaching experience, preferably at post-secondary • Experience working with older adults • Current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives • CPR Level HCP certification
