Territory Sales Leader (Contract Position) Location:

Nanaimo, Courtenay, Campbell River, Port Alberni, British Columbia. Remote.

Term:

Contract ending 12/31/2026. Full‑time, 35 hours per week.

About This Role The Territory Sales Lead (TSL) ensures flawless execution of store‑level sales and promotion plans with customer retailers in the assigned territory. The territory consists of high‑volume food chain grocers and mass merchandiser customers. The TSL masters retail execution plans by driving incremental sales, implementing, and maintaining best‑in‑class promotional and merchandising strategies, and ensuring 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items across all trade classes.

Responsibilities

Drive customer points of sale through consultative business partnering: develop and maintain consultative relationships with key decision makers at all levels; partner to execute action plans to increase sales based on analytics.

Prepare for retail sales calls by analyzing relevant store, product, and market data and creating effective selling tools and presentations.

Engage in forward selling using consultative techniques with store and market KDMs in every call; maximize sales and display opportunities by conducting store walk‑throughs and securing commitments.

Complete and submit electronic and written reports of daily and weekly activities, expenses, competitive activity, promotions and all related administrative functions.

Achieve merchandising objectives by executing customer‑specific promotional plans, maintaining displays, and ensuring new items are stocked and out‑of‑stocks corrected.

Develop and recommend strategies to improve overall territory, district, and area effectiveness; drive advocate partnerships within the assigned category.

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly.

1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in consumer‑packaged goods.

Knowledge of strategies, practices, and tools for communicating with retail customers and managing day‑to‑day operations of retail stores.

Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently within a team environment.

Detail‑oriented with fresh thinking; takes initiative to pursue objectives and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with iPad technology.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Business or 3–5 years of experience in a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits The base salary range: $51,934– $64,918 per year. Total rewards include performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support physical, mental, and financial well‑being.
