Business Analyst (Finance) Domtar Port Alberni

Domtar seeks a Business Analyst in Port Alberni to drive financial analysis and reporting, ensuring effective operational strategy through robust data insights.

This role is full-time and permanent, tasked with month-end functions, production cost allocations, and the preparation of operating plans. Reporting to the controller, you will deliver insights that support key decision-making processes impacting manufacturing efficiency. Strong communication and leadership skills are vital, along with a deep understanding of cost management.

Key Responsibilities:• Perform month-end accounting tasks and production adjustments • Prepare financial statements and allocate product costs • Generate forecasts and coordinate with Corporate Finance • Participate in the strategic planning process • Support continuous improvement initiatives for mill operations

Requirements:• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance • CPA designation preferred • Strong analytical abilities and reporting expertise • Ability to train and support junior finance staff
