Electrical Project Coordinator (Coquitlam)

Rightway Recruitment is working on behalf of a growing electrical contractor with an established presence across British Columbia, delivering commercial and institutional electrical construction projects throughout the Lower Mainland. With continued growth across Vancouver and the Tri-Cities market, they are now looking to add a Project Coordinator to support active project operations.Working closely alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, suppliers, and field teams, this role will support the successful delivery of commercial electrical projects from early coordination through project closeout. The position offers exposure across procurement, scheduling, documentation, financial tracking, and day‑to‑day construction operations.Key Responsibilities

Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day‑to‑day project coordination activities. Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify discrepancies or coordination issues. Assist with procurement of lighting, switchgear, commodities, and project materials.Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, permits, inspections, and closeout documentation. Assist with project scheduling and ensure materials and equipment arrive on site according to project timelines. Monitor backorders, delivery schedules, and material tracking. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, field teams, and general contractors throughout project execution.Assist with change orders, project reporting, WIP tracking, billings, and cost‑to‑complete updates. Maintain organized project documentation and filing systems. Attend project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding action items. Support communication between internal departments including operations, HR, and accounting.Assist in identifying design issues, material concerns, or coordination conflicts throughout the project lifecycle. Project Scope

Commercial and institutional electrical construction projects across the Lower Mainland. Exposure to office operations, procurement, scheduling, and field coordination. Involvement from project startup through completion. 3‑5 years of Project Coordination, Project Administration, or construction support experience. Previous exposure to commercial electrical construction projects is strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications. Strong organizational and communication skills.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced project environments. Detail‑oriented mindset with strong follow‑up and coordination abilities. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the business. Professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills.Working Environment
