Job Description:As a Formwork Superintendent, you’ll lead complex concrete operations from layout to pour, coordinating crews, trades, schedules, and safety to deliver high-quality structural work. This role is for an experienced field leader who thrives on precision, accountability, and building it right the first time.Perks and Benefits:Comprehensive Benefits Package that provides extended health care, dental care, vision care, life insurance and critical illness.Continuous learning opportunities with an annual educational allowance.Generous referral program ranging from $500-$2,500 depending on business need.Regular consistent team-building activities and events.Discounts to local amenities and vendors.Discounted hotel stays in multiple locations through our Hospitality offerings.What Will You Do?Supervise concrete layout responsibilitiesSchedule concrete pours&order concrete pumps and crews accordinglyCoordinate with General superintendentCoordinate with other trade on site throughout the building processCoordinate adequate manpowerSchedule inspections with appropriate engineers for falsework Prior to PourPerform accurate quantity take off’s for building material, falsework, concrete etc.Prepare as built drawingsCoordination with General ContractorManage site Structural&Architectural changes ie: SI’s, CO’s, SSI’s, ASI’s, prepare RFI’sDirect and coordinate with onsite foremanDetailing drawings / sketches for surveyors and or carpentersRead and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, rough sketches, and specifications to determine work activitiesPlan, assign, schedule and supervise the work of concrete crews, laborers, truck drivers and equipment operators engaged in the constructionManage a crew of workersOrganize labor and material on a daily basisCompletion of administrative paperwork relating to the siteMaintain a resource schedulePrepare computerizedschedule and update schedule reportingTrack and report daily job productionsControl daily costs and wasteEffectively communicate project expectations to team members on an ongoing basisManage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure site meets all safety standardsWhat You Bring:Minimum 7 + yearsof concrete forming experienceMinimum 3 + years of managing formwork crews.Proficient in Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, Office ProjectAbility to prepare and edit schedulesStrong technical building knowledge and ability to recognize proper forming techniques tosupport required dimensions of concrete structuresMust have knowledge of practices, methods, equipment, materials and tools used in concreteconstruction and maintenanceExcellent knowledge of Building CodeProven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sitesDemonstrated effective communication and team building skillsBe results focused with a proven track record of accomplishments in the construction industryDemonstrated ability to analyze, problem solve, make recommendations for change, implement and evaluate and provide a strong process perspectiveDemonstrated ability to problem solve, juggle numerous and diverse activities, organizing and prioritizing appropriately to meet demands and expectationsBe a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast pace team environment and have a desire to grow with the CompanyLevel 1 or 2 First Aid ticketSalary Range:$120,000 - $140,000About The Company:Founded on more than 35 years of collective professional experience, CapWest is specialized in meeting the modern needs of the growing construction industry in North America.
