Chief Pilot - Air Services Management, Southeastern Avalon Peninsula (Ferryland)

Drive air services management as the Chief Pilot for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ensure safety and efficiency in air ambulance and firefighting missions.

In this role, the Chief Pilot is tasked with leading aircrew operations while focusing on the safety and efficiency of air services. Key duties include supervising pilot training, conducting flight tests, and managing relevant documentation. You'll also engage in hiring and training pilots, maintaining compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations, and coordinating with various government agencies to support air operations.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise all aircrew to ensure safe operations • Conduct training and testing of flight personnel • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for air services • Coordinate crew activities and schedules effectively • Manage pilot training budgets and certifications

Requirements:• Minimum of 5000 total hours and 3000 hours as Pilot in Command • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License and Group 1 Medical • Supervisory experience in a similar aviation environment • Familiarity with the Canadian Air Regulations (CARS) • Willingness to undergo extensive travel as required
