Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DMC Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong understanding of the Southern Africa tourism landscape, exceptional client engagement abilities, and proven operational expertise in itinerary design and travel planning.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage high-quality, tailor-made itineraries across Southern Africa
Build and maintain strong relationships with international agents and partners
Handle complex travel requests with efficiency, creativity, and attention to detail
Ensure seamless end-to-end travel planning, quoting, and operational execution
Provide expert destination advice and product knowledge to clients and partners.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Proven, hands-on experience using WETU itinerary building platform
Strong working knowledge of Xcel/Xcell systems for quoting, costing, and itinerary management
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with international clients and agents
Strong sales ability with a demonstrated understanding of how to effectively sell Southern Africa as a destination, including key regions, experiences, and product differentiation.
Essential Skills&Experience
Minimum 5+ years experience in the inbound tourism / DMC sector
In-depth knowledge of Southern Africa destinations, including South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique
Strong product knowledge of lodges, hotels, and experiential travel offerings
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple requests, and meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
